Clauger Group launches Technofrigo by Clauger

Clauger Group has officially launched Technofrigo by Clauger, a specialist industrial engineering brand dedicated to the Process, Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemical, Petrochemical, Hydrogen, CO₂ treatment and emission control markets. The brand was unveiled on 26 May at an international event hosted at the Clauger-Technofrigo facility in Castel Maggiore, Bologna, in the presence of clients, partners and teams from across Europe.

The launch formalises a strategic decision taken by Clauger Group leadership: to give the engineering capability serving these specialist markets its own brand identity, its own market positioning, and the depth of focus those sectors require.

A strategic brand, not a new entity

Technofrigo by Clauger is not a new legal entity. It is a strategic brand identity within Clauger Group, built to bring clarity and focus to the activities the Group has been delivering to heavy industry and energy markets for over 170 years. The brand covers refrigeration, gas compression, CO₂ capture and treatment, emission control, and hydrogen processing for chemical and industrial process plants.

A convergence of two engineering traditions

The brand brings together two distinct and complementary engineering heritages within Clauger Group.

The Italian tradition, rooted in Bologna since 1850 and represented by Clauger-Technofrigo S.r.l., carries over 170 years of experience in refrigeration, gas compression, petrochemical process engineering, Oil & Gas and LNG. It laid the foundations of Italian industrial history with the production of the first compressors in 1898.

The French tradition within Clauger contributes 60 years of combined expertise in CO₂ treatment, hydrogen process plant engineering and emission control, developed across the Brignais and Strasbourg teams.

Together, these capabilities position Technofrigo by Clauger both as a specialist technology partner and as an integrator of complete process solutions: from engineering and manufacturing through to long-term lifecycle support.

A clearer brand architecture for Clauger Group

The launch of Technofrigo by Clauger reinforces a clear brand architecture across the Group. Clauger Group now operates three specialist brands, each focused on the technical realities of its markets:

Each brand carries its own market identity, its own engineering teams and its own commercial focus. All three share the financial stability, international footprint and engineering resources of Clauger Group, which operates across more than 100 countries.
